About me:
I’m a film composer and sound designer based in Jerusalem, creating original scores and sound design for film and visual media. My work includes music composition, sound design, and storytelling through sound.
I hold a BFA in Sound & Screen Arts and currently teach soundtrack classes at the Charles E. Smith High School of the Arts in Jerusalem.
My First Steps
I was born in Jerusalem and grew up in a musical household set in a quiet Jerusalem Suburb. I began experimenting early on with samplers, music softwares, turntables, and Drums, Keys and Guitar. developing as a self-taught musician.
At just 14, I was putting my first beat tape online, making both the beats and the artwork.
Beginnings in Hiphop
Since 2010, I’ve been producing, performing and releasing original music under my hip-hop alias Shiroto.
My production resume includes work with award winning musicians such as Ravid Plotnik, Dana Berger, and Shaanan Streett. My solo music has also been featured on Netflix’s Hit & Run (2021).
Djing
Alongside my production work, I perform as a DJ and have played my first show internationally in Addis Ababa (2019). i also played dj sets at InDnegev (2022), and at the Jerusalem Film Festival (2023).
i curate my sets around Hiphop, Funk, Disco, Dub, IDM. But these are just titles of course. As a music selector, I just really love to make people move.
My Audiovisual Journey
I am Sound & Screen Arts studies graduate with a BFA degree. enrolling in this academic program came from my big passion for the fascinating world of combining Audio and Visuals.
From the very first semester, I was gaining “hands-on” experience by working with emerging filmmakers, providing Original Score, Sound Design, and Mixing for their films.
In 2025, I composed the original score for the short film Buba, directed by Tal Gold, which won the Best Fiction Film Award at CSF Festival #22 and was broadcast on TV (Yes Drama network).
I live, work and pat stray cats in Jerusalem.
